My history is that I have been in hairdressing all of my life - well since I left school at the tender age of 16!

I studied hairdressing YTS at Carlisle College, and I also had a full-time placement at the very top salon The Mop Shop. I was trained to a very high standard (as anyone who went there will know). When I finished my training I spent the next 7 years working full time, but sadly all good things come to an end. I then managed the Headlines salon in Carlisle for 6 months before going freelance.

I have been freelance since 1996 but do not ‘rest on my laurels’. I like to keep up to date with new techniques and have completed many colouring courses, an advanced cutting course in London, and I am hoping to complete my "Level 3' in the near future. I am also a member of the British Hairdressers Federation."

IMPORTANT NOTE..

"The safety of my clients is of the utmost importance so before you have your hair coloured I use ColourStart.  ColourStart is a product that tests clients for any allergic reactions to colours. I send out a free test patch for you to use 48 hours before your appointment. The test needs to be carried out in order for me to safely colour your hair. If the test is not carried out a new appointment will have to be made and a charge may be incurred. I absolutely cannot colour a client's hair without this test being done."
